brightness issue HLT4675

On occaision the backlight starts to flicker, even with dynamic mode off. The image is perfectly fine. I wonder if it is the bulb starting to surge a bit before death or is it a more severe problem? Thanks for the help!

Most probably is the bulb, but it could also be your ballast, I recommend you to buy a new lamp, anyway if that's not your problem you'll have a spare.
